About Joe Carlino and his family . .

Gloucester Transmission Service may be new to Gloucester City, but the owners, Joe and Betty Carlino, are not.  Both graduates of Gloucester City High School, they remained here to raise a family and contribute to the community.  Betty teaches 3rd grade Cold Springs Elementary School and daughter Jessica teaches in Maryland.  Joe Jr. works with his Dad at GTS.

Joe "can fix anything mechanical - any car".  After working for dealerships and then for himself, Joe is now proud to be a local business owner and to offer his services to the community at GTS.  Joe is proud that he never has had a complaint from a customer about his work or about the condition of a customer's car when it was returned.  GTS performs all general repairs in addition to transmissions, and also offers 24/7 towing services.  Joe and his staff keep "up-to-date" by attending monthly classes to learn the latest information about repairing today's vehicles.

A "by the book" kind of guy, Joe is traditional, whether it is following the rules in his business or his community or his church.  His son has handled general maintenance at St. Mary's for years and the "two Joes" have cleaned up the cemetary, organizing the plots and making information available to the families of those buried there.

Joe and Betty used the GCHS colors for their business to help show their loyalty to the community.  "We love our community, we like it, and we are prout of it."  Joe and Betty Carlino plan to keep their home in Gloucester City, even after retirement.
